How to Fix Divi Page Builder, Beaver Builder, or WP Bakery Builder After WordPress 5.0 Update.
This month WordPress announced one of the largest updates of the year. Gutenberg Builder’s WordPress.org platform update. This update destroyed the ability to use any of the drag and drop builders on the market. The compatibility issues were intense! However, WordPress 5.0 is an unavoidable update. Many people just restored a past version of their website, but this holds security issues and eventually you will have to update.
PROBLEM SOLVED: Follow these simple steps, before if possible, to restore function to your Divi Theme Builder.
1. If you see that your site is ready to update, do not update until later.

2. Download “Disable Gutenberg” Plugin
Go to your dashboard menu » Plugins » New Plugin
Search for “Classic Editor” » Locate Plugin titled, “Disable Gutenberg” (it will have the image of a shovel.)
Install it and Activate it.

3. After “Disable Gutenberg” is Activated. Go back to Dashboard and Download WordPress 5.0

4. Update All Plugins

5. Your Site Should Work As Usual
There you go. Your site should work as usual and you should not have any issues migrating to WordPress 5.0.2. Your builders will work and operate the same way.
Note: If you are experiencing a Builder Timeout Issue. You may need to reset your PHP Settings.
Have your Web Hosting Company Reset your PHP Settings to the following:
- post_max_size 128M
- max_execution_time 180
- upload_max_filesize 256M
- max_input_time 600
- max_input_vars 5000
- memory_limit 512M
