User Experience, Sound Familiar?
User Experience, become familiar with this term, because it will be around awhile. If you haven’t heard it already, your website should focus on the user experience. Meaning, it should be interactive, quick, generate conversation and invoke curiosity. I’ve been saying this for years. SEO (Search Engine Optimization) that purely generates website traffic through robots and other software, is okay, and sometimes necessary to influence Google’s traditional search algorithms, but is not a long-term SEO strategy. SEO requires a bit of spontaneity. Pure SEO establishes conversations that revolve around relevant topics and points of consumer interest. If you are paying a 3rd party provider to write your Blog Article, I caution you. The days of smattering generic, industry-related, scratch conversation, hypothetical blog posts are nearly behind us. Thank Goodness! These posts never perform well anyways.
Through both internal studies and industry research, users show they prefer sites with a great page experience.
Do Not Ditch 3rd Party Content Creators – You Need Them!
Leverage Content Managers to get the most out of your content.
Step 1: Send an email of thoughts to your content manager. “Dear Content Manager, Today I experienced this ____, and I felt it would make a great blog post. Here is the Topic, here are my thoughts on that topic, and here is the solution. Oh, by the way, here is a great testimonial or story that highlights the main argument of this topic too.”
Step 2: Your content manager will create the user experience by taking your idea and producing a professional article around your thoughts. Making the message clear and easy to read, matching appropriate images, actions and infographics to it as well.
Google’s New User Experience Search Algorithm Update
Google announced that they eventually migrate to a search algorithm that takes into consideration your “web vitals,” in other words, it will understand your search habits across the entire Internet. This will complement the already established “predictive search” and “location search” algorithmic criteria. Your Google searches will become a personal experience.
The content you are seeing in search results is no longer what YOU want to see, rather it is what Google wants you to see. Which ultimately, in theory, should make for a better search experience.
My theory has finally been confirmed and validated when Google’s Director of Engineering for Search Ecosystem released their latest article titled, “Evaluating Page Experience for a Better Web.” I highly encourage you to read the full article.
